The IdeaExchange is full of amazing ideas. I was creating workflow rules today, and needed to add an Email Alert to inform the owner. As I went about adding the Owner, I thought, “the Owner’s Manager should receive the email as well…” and rolled my eyes, dreading the fact that I would need to create an email alert for each manager based on the Owner’s role, and a workflow rule based on the Manager criteria. Bleh, at least it isn’t for EVERY owner.
The great thing is, since I started my blog I have been working to use the IdeaExchange each time I have a roadblock, so I can share the idea with a post. I opened a new tab, hopped over to Ideas, and, for the first time in the 7 years I have struggled with this missing functionality, searched for the idea. Here, I voted with the 293 other “suffering” admin.
If you have been frustrated with the fact that the owner manager isn’t available on your email alerts, or if you can see why other admin are, please VOTE IT UP! Drink the kool-aid, feel my peer pressure.
