Create a My Requests Dynamic View

If you are using Cases to track internal requests, wouldn’t it be great if users could just use a custom view to see where the cases they submitted stand?  Well with this neato little hack, you can, in less than 5 minutes.

  1. Create a custom formula field, My Request, that is “True” when the current user and the requesting contact have the same email address.  No need to add it to page layouts
  2. Create a view with the filter criteria of your new “My Request” field = True, that’s it.
